New Resource: Creation at the Crossroads
Jubilee+ is delighted to join with CreationCall (a ChristCentral initiative) in releasing a brand new resource aimed at equipping local churches to engage with the pressing reality of climate change.
This free resource (available via our website here) outlines the Biblical mandate for Christians to exercise care for creation, but also offers straightforward practical suggestions for how churches could change everyday practices in line with this vision.
With links to theological papers, helpful materials, and organisations ready to lead in this area, we hope this resource will help churches:
- engage with the issue of climate change inside their walls (through preaching, teaching and reviewing internal practices)
- be on the frontfoot in their local communities, as well as seek out global partnerships with those already experiencing the negative effects of climate change
We know that it is those with the least resources who are often worst affected by climate change. Within our family of churches the last year alone has seen floods devastate parts of Pakistan and Malawi, while partners in the gospel in Kenya continue to face sustained drought.
