J+ Core Team: Rosie Hopley
We are excited, this summer, to welcome Rosie Hopley to our core team!
Rosie is an experienced social activist with a pioneering spirit. Having founded Beloved - a charity based in the South-West – she has gone on to gather networks, prayer gatherings and, more recently, speak and produce materials on the critical importance of God’s reconciling love lived out.
A long-term friend of Jubilee+, having spoken at our Churches that Change Communities conference (listen to her latest seminar here), Rosie has more recently spearheaded a piece of research for Jubilee+ on resourcing estate evangelism.
It was as a busy working Mum based in Bristol that Rosie first gathered a team and began visiting parlours across the city, with the aim of reaching women, sharing the gospel and supporting women to exit the prostitution industry.
In 2021 Rosie handed on leadership of the charity, but not before establishing an advisory group made up of women with lived experience of poverty, and the limited choices that often force women into sex work.
As part of the Jubilee+ team, Rosie will be looking to establish a similar advisory group, ensuring that the voices of people living in poverty are not only heard, but become those that direct and inform our work, as well as those of the churches we are partnering with.
Rosie is a passionate advocate for gospel transformation, development of people and seeing those overlooked in society take their place as loved, dignified and flourishing individuals, and stepping into leadership.
We are delighted to welcome her, and excited to see all that God has in store!
