The Big Church Read - Invisible Divides
We're delighted to announce the launch of The Big Church Read, this time featuring the latest Jubilee+ book, Invisible Divides: Class Culture & Barriers to Belonging.
With the help of The Big Church Read, authors Natalie Williams and Paul Brown have recorded nine short videos to accompany each chapter, and prepared discussion questions to help guide readers through the issues raised in the book.
These resources are free to access, and well-suited for leadership teams, small groups or individuals who are looking to gain a greater understanding of what diversity looks like played out in the local church.
So, how does The Big Church Read work?
Simply read a chapter, watch the accompanying video, and download the discussion questions!

You can watch a brief introduction to this great resource in the video below, as well as read the latest endorsement of Invisible Divides, this time from Louise Davies, Director of Christians on the Left:
This book is essential reading for every church leader. Natalie and Paul share their experience and expertise to make the invisible divides visible to the reader. This book will encourage leaders to see the people within their congregations who feel marginalised as a result of their background. How can we make our services and activities accessible to people from working class backgrounds?
Growing up on a council estate and attending a middle class church I now realise that for the past 40 years I have assimilated to my middle class surroundings. Even now, there are times I feel that I don't belong simply because my upbringing is so different to that of my Christian friends. The authors articulated exactly how I feel.
This book is easy to read, never patronising, and will help you to cross the divides in the UK Church. A definite 5 out of 5.
