Jubilee Plus Podcast
Our twelfth ‘Churches that Change Communities’ conference is fast-approaching, and we’re excited to be gathering once again with social activists from around the country for times of prayer, worship and teaching together.
This is also a year of firsts for us, with a new venue (the Ridgeway Centre in Milton Keynes), and a slightly altered format. During the second session Natalie Williams is taking the opportunity to ask charity leaders on the front line, about their response to rising need this winter. This will take the form of a live panel with Paula Stringer (CAP), Sam Ward (Message Trust), and Jon Kuhrt (Government Rough Sleeping Advisor).
And for the first time (drum roll please) - with the help of our friends from the Praxis Centre – a Jubilee Plus podcast will be recorded live from the conference.
Every year we’re aware of the opportunity and responsibility that comes with making the most of the wisdom in the room (from speakers and delegates alike), so when Abi Thomas from The Hopeful Activist Podcast suggested coming along to interview some of the social action pioneers, authors and leaders that make up our speaking team it seemed like a no-brainer!
Abi is keen to hear from delegates about their burning questions, and insights on the current challenges facing us as a nation, so please do get involved if you get the chance.
The Jubilee Plus podcast is already available to follow (click here), and in the first episode Natalie Williams introduces the theme to this year’s conference, and what she’s most looking forward to.
Bonus content from the day will go up in the hours and days following the conference (with extracts also played on the Hopeful Activist Podcast). So, if you have a favourite speaker or contributor you’d like to hear more from this is your chance!
Over the next couple of weeks we’d love to hear what questions you’d like Abi to be asking on your behalf, so please do let us know via Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
NB. If you’re searching on your chosen podcast platform, it’s “Jubilee Plus” (no + sign this time!) and our thanks to Owen O’Brien for contributing the music (find more from him here).
