Could you host a #CTCC23 Watch Party?
It's just two weeks 'til we gather in Brighton, and online, for this year's Churches that Change Communities conference.
We can't believe it's nearly here!
For some of you, making it all the way to the South Coast may simply not be possible, but we don't want you to miss out...
So, if you're based a long way from Brighton, why not consider hosting a Churches that Change Communities watch party?
Last year watch parties were hosted around the country, and gave delegates gathering online the chance to worship, learn, discuss, pray and eat together.
If you have a group of budding social activists, or perhaps church members looking in from the sidelines (but unsure where they fit) this could be a great team-building opportunity!
The conference day runs on Saturday 4th November from 10am-5.15pm. Online delegates with be able to join with worship (led by the brilliant Jess Debenham & band) and watch keynotes delivered by Natalie Williams, Tope Koleoso & Kemi Koleoso.
In livestreamed seminars from the main hall journalist and presenter, Lauren Windle will talk about building Church for the Chaotic, and Paul Brown (co-author of Invisible Divides) will share how churches can increasingly reach, and be shaped by, The Missing Class.
Online delegates can choose from stand-alone pre-recorded seminars (with Andrew Wilson, Helen Barnard (JRF) & Natalie Williams all contributing).
In addition, for the first time we've created pre-record streams, gathering content together to tackle issues like:
- Going Upstream to Bring Change (Frazer Macdonald, Alasdaire Duerden, Colonel Peter McCall)
- A Safe Home (Tania Bright, Helen Hodgson, Kate Doran-Smith, Rob Liddiard)
- From Crisis Relief to Release (Jubilee+ Voices, Dave Mumford, Three13, Victoria Armstrong, Oasis Centre)
- Mercy in the DNA (Natalie Williams, Steve Horne, Emily Williams, Sean Green)
What makes a good watch party?
Get together in a comfortable room in a home or church building (anywhere quiet with a decent wifi connection!) and nominate somebody to organise tea, coffee and snacks. If you are located within striking distance of another likeminded church, why not consider joining forces, and building connections with another team?
Tickets are £35 per person (whether online or in-person) with £5 subsidised tickets available to those experiencing financial hardship.
For those hosting larger watch parties a flat fee of £300 is available (and allows an unlimited number of delegates to gather). To take advantage of this offer simply select the watch party option on our booking site.
