Handling the media
Churches are increasingly being approached by journalists for their views on local issues, particularly as we run more projects that help the most vulnerable in our communities. This training day will equip you to build good quality relationships with your local media so that you can raise awareness of your church among the local community. It will also help you to be prepared for unwelcome media attention.
Who should come? Anyone who could find themselves needing to talk to the media about tricky issues or in response to local events, as well as those who want to see their events and stories featured more frequently in the local press. This would include church leaders, trustees, social action project leaders, church building and office managers, and more!
Delivered by Jubilee+ Head of Communications & Policy, former journalist Natalie Williams.
Booking for this event is currently only open to partner churches and ‘friends of Jubilee+’.
