Martin Charlesworth and Natalie Williams
Join our Social Action Zoom meeting

Church leaders and social action leaders are invited to join Martin Charlesworth and Natalie Williams in a ‘Social Action Zoom meeting’ this Thursday.

In it, we will discuss the challenges our projects are facing, give some practical advice and share some examples of what churches are doing to cope with all that is happening. We will also be asking you what help you need from us at this time.

The meeting will take place on the video call platform Zoom, at 3pm this Thursday, 26 March 2020 with a repeat call at 4pm if numbers require it.

If you are a church leader or lead a social action project of any size, and would like to join the meeting, please email with SOCIAL ACTION ZOOM in the subject line. In the body of the email, please tell us your name, your church, the project(s) you oversee and your location.

You will be sent a link on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning to join the meeting.

Top tips for Zoom:

If you haven't used Zoom before, take time before the meeting to follow this link and download the software onto your computer or phone when prompted.

If you are able to access a computer with sound and microphone capabilities, that will give you a better viewing experience than a phone, as you will be able to see more participants at a time.

Whichever device you are going to use will need speakers and, if you want to be able to speak in the meeting, a microphone. There is the option to join with video, too. It is worth testing out these facilities before the meeting, so you know how to turn them on and off.

Once the meeting has started, it is helpful if all participants mute their microphones unless asking a question or making a contribution, to cut down on background noise. You can also use the 'Chat' function to type in questions or comments while someone else is speaking.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
