What is a Formed Residential?
May is all about Formed!
As well as releasing a 28-video training resource (free to partner churches and available to purchase) at the Proximity Conference in Manchester we're keen to let you know about an in-person opportunity coming up later in the year.
Thanks to the generosity of funders we are able to offer another residential training block, with teaching delivered live by the Jubilee+ team, alongside Tom Grant (from Proximity).
Over the three days together there will be time to eat, worship, share and learn together (with all teaching sessions delivered in 20-minute blocks or under).
Last year we took twenty trainees away, and here's some of what they said afterwards:
“No matter what background anyone comes from, no matter what story anyone comes from, it’s all valid to God and all it’s all got a purpose to God. For me personally I can now take these skills and I can go and use them for God’s will to glorify his name.”
“I feel as though God has given me the strength and the courage to go out and to take his message and to pass the baton on and to spread the word of Jesus Christ. It’s been one of the most uplifting things I’ve ever had the privilege to be part of.”
“God’s been showing me that despite what I think, I’m stronger than I think and that I can be a leader. Encouraging me to go on that journey with him and trust him that he’s going to take me to where he wants me to be.”
Our next Formed residential will be hosted at Highgate House in Northamptonshire (Wednesday 11th - Friday 13th November, 2026), the time together is fully catered with travel expenses covered too.
Over the course of the three days we'll consider what it means to be formed in the image of God, conformed to the likeness of Christ, and transformed by the Spirit. With time for devotionals built in, there are session on Biblical themes (how God's big story fits together), practical leadership skills, as well as how to take the next steps in developing the gifting God has placed inside each of us.
