Voting Like Jesus
With local elections, mayoral elections, and devolved parliamentary elections taking place this Thursday, 7th May, we thought it was the perfect time to remind you of the ‘Voting Like Jesus’ resource, available for FREE on the Jubilee+ website. This is a resource we first wrote ahead of the 2024 General Election.
Whether you’re interested in politics or not, Christians are called to engage in public life - for their good, for the good of their neighbours, and for the good of the community as a whole. Perhaps you find politics boring, frustrating, or hopeless. You may feel apathetic and disengaged, or you may have made it an idol. The Bible doesn’t give us permission to do either.
We wrote the ‘Voting Like Jesus’ resource to help us all engage with politics, wherever you’re at.
The resource asks and answers two main questions:
-How can we lead our hearts, and those around us, as we prepare to vote in a couple of days?
-How do we maintain our unity in the church, and our witness to those outside the church?
